Day 5 - June 15th

June 15th - National Museum and Aviva Stadium
We all woke up around the same time. Luckily, we were beginning to get used to the time change, so we were all less tired than usual. We then went downstairs to enjoy the usual breakfast of the Spire Hostel. After breakfast, Hanna ran back to the room since she had forgotten her camera, an obvious necessity. We were ready for the day ahead of us and walked out of our hotel to the next stop the National Museum of Ireland.

National Museum of Ireland - History
This museum held so much different information like archeology, arts, history, and more. We boarded the bus for our short ride to the museum. Once we got there, we were all mesmerized. Again, Hanna was clicking away with her camera so much that the rest of us thought it was going to blow up. We entered and we were happy that we didn’t have to pay anything to be able to see it all, since it was free!
The National Museum of Ireland was beautiful, and there was so much going on we didn’t know where to start. Joseph wanted to go to the art and history area, so the whole gang walked over there. We walked around there and learned a lot about the Irish art style and history of art. There, we were able to join a tour to walk around and learn about the whole museum. After art and history, we toured the archeology department.
In the archaeology department, there were so many artifacts that had been used millennia ago. It was fascinating. We learned about men of Ireland from long ago. After that, we went and toured Emily's favorite part of the whole museum: the Natural history of Ireland. It was so cool. We got to learn what made Ireland, Ireland. We learned a lot about civilizations and animals native to Ireland.
We decided to cut our time the museum short, because everyone in the group was getting very hungry. We first stopped by the gift shop, where Leah got a shirt and Hannah got the next year’s calendar with pictures of Ireland. We then left the museum to go to a nearby delicious cafe called the Cafe en Seine. We all shared one big plate of french fries (which were called chips here) and some tasty fish.
Later, everyone decided to go to a football (not American football, it was soccer) game in the Aviva Stadium. None of us were big sports fans, but we decided it would be awesome to go watch some soccer there. We, obviously, were rooting for Ireland. Before we went, we decided to go back to the Spire Hostel for a quick nap before the game. We were in need of a bit of a break since we walked around the museum all morning. After a few hours, we got ready to go to the game. Well, everyone but Emily, who was still asleep. We forced her to get up so we wouldn’t miss the game.

Aviva Stadium- Sports
Once we arrived at the stadium, we paid our fees and ran to get a spot together. Hannah and Joseph both volunteered to get food for everyone while the rest held their seats. It's always nice to have some good food before a big game, even if you are just watching it. At first, Ireland was losing, but they soon caught up to the opposing team. Though none of us knew what sports really were, we all had fun and cheered along with the rest of the fans. The game ended late at night with Ireland winning. It was super cold and Joseph was freezing, since he thought that he wouldn’t need a jacket, so he didn’t bring one. Bad mistake. We got back to the Spire Hostel after a lot of traffic from fans leaving the game. Once we got back to the hostel, we all ran to bed, because we knew the next day would be jam packed, also.
